For the past 35 years Alpha horses have proved themselves again and again in open competition in all disciplines as well as in Appaloosa shows. Since the first Appaloosa Championship Show held in 2000 Alpha horses have been National Champion 4 times and four were won by horses whose parents only contained Alpha Appaloosa blood. The balance all had one Alpha parent, all sired by Alpha Toby's Moonshine, full brother of Alpha Toby's Oklahoma who was also the sire of Alpha Toby's Vertigo.

National Champions were Alpha Toby's Vertigo 2000 and 2001, Alpha Toby's Oklahoma 2002, and Alpha Toby's Laramie 2004. Alpha Paleface competed successfully in open adult show jumping competition, competing several times successfully in the gruelling SAPPI Trials, reaching A Grade in Children's classes. Alpha Chinook received provincial colours in Natal and the Free State in driving classes with Graham Haddow. Alpha Toby's Astronaut owned by Alexis Webb and ridden by Su Fairman, won National Champion under saddle for three years in a row and won the Small Show Hunter at the open S.A. Championships 2005 in Grahamstown, beating the horse which finally won supreme Champion Hunter in the country. Astronaut was our AHBSSA 2004 Appaloosa of the Year. Alpha Toby's Napoleon, also ridden by Su Fairman also won Appaloosa of the Year when he completed his record 10th National 200 km Endurance ride. The record for the number of National completions for a mare is held by Alpha Loosha. Alpha Nantucket was also junior winner of the National Endurance ride in 1982. Different Alpha horses have won over 40 championships between them and continue to fill the winner's circle.

At the 2007 Horse of the Year Show. Four different Alpha horses qualified for the Horse of the Year Supreme Championship class in the main arena at THS. They were ; Alpha Toby's Astronaut who was Supreme Champion in several ridden Appaloosa classes. Alpha Wap's Alabama who was Supreme Champion Appaloosa Stallion. Alpha Eagle's Galaxy who was Supreme Champion Appaloosa Mare...and Alpha Wap's Drama Queen who was Supreme Champion Western Horse.
